Climate change status
Climate change is one of the most pressing issues facing the world. It has a profound impact on natural ecology, human health and economic development. Currently, the global average temperature continues to rise, and the frequency and intensity of extreme weather events have also increased. Rising sea levels, melting glaciers, storms and droughts are increasing everywhere. We hope to raise participants’ awareness of this global issue and explore how countries can take effective measures to combat climate change at both the national and international levels.
International efforts to reduce emissions
The international community has recognized the importance of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and has jointly committed to reducing emission levels and curbing global warming through multilateral agreements such as the Paris Agreement. We will provide students with a detailed introduction to the international community’s efforts to reduce emissions, including an analysis of the emissions reduction plans of various governments, non-governmental organizations and private enterprises. At the same time, the content will also explore ways to strengthen international cooperation to ensure the synchronization and effectiveness of global actions.
Renewable energy promotion
Promoting renewable energy is one of the important ways to combat climate change. Our educational materials focus on the latest developments in renewable energy technologies such as solar, wind, hydro and bioenergy. In addition, we discuss how to promote investment and widespread adoption of renewable energy through policy instruments and market mechanisms, and how to overcome the practical challenges of scaling renewable energy from small-scale pilots to large-scale applications.
Action and participation
Finally, we encourage and facilitate action and engagement at the individual, community, business and government levels. The courses and activities we provide not only cover theoretical knowledge, but also focus on the cultivation of practical abilities, helping students understand how to implement specific environmental protection actions, starting from reducing carbon footprints in daily life, to participating in international climate change negotiations and the formulation of environmental policies. In addition, we also emphasize the establishment of cross-departmental cooperation networks to ensure the comprehensive effect of environmental protection actions.
